The holiday season, with its twinkling lights and festive cheer, is meant to be a time of joy and togetherness. I live for this time of year! September – December is the best! All I want to do is watch festive movies, drink hot beverages and snuggle under a blanket with my kiddos. However, for many (including me), it can quickly transform into an stress-filled race to meet expectations. On one hand I want to do all the things, but on the other I want to slow down and enjoy it. Being present is really hard when you’re trying to fit everything into a small window of time.

Pinterest is also great at letting you know about traditions that are super cute, but you would never had thought of in your own. I did not need an elf on my shelf, but now I have 3 elves and 2 pets. I’m locked in.
